Terms & Conditions
Please review the following terms and conditions before scheduling moving services with Osmon Moving & Storage.
DURATION OF MOVE - Please understand that all online moving time estimates are approximate guidelines based on previous moving experience. Every move is different, and actual move duration may vary depending on building access, staircases, elevator wait times, walking distance from the residence to the truck, traffic conditions, packing needs, furniture disassembly, and other jobsite conditions.
MINIMUM SERVICE REQUIREMENTS - Osmon Moving & Storage maintains minimum hourly requirements for scheduled moves. Most local moves require a three-hour minimum. Certain dates, peak moving periods, weekend mornings, or outlying service areas may require a four-hour minimum service window.
DOUBLE DRIVE TIME CHARGES - In accordance with BHGS regulations and company policy, customers are charged double the actual drive time between the pick-up and delivery locations. For full reference, please review Item 36 on page 9 of the Maximum Rate Tariff. Additional information regarding double drive time charges may also be found on our website.
ACCEPTED PAYMENT METHODS - We accept payment by cash and major credit or debit cards. Personal checks and business checks are not accepted. Hourly charges continue until the move is fully completed and payment has been processed. A customer or authorized representative must remain available throughout the move and final walkthrough. For card payments, the cardholder must be present with a valid government-issued photo identification to authorize the transaction.
APPLIANCE SERVICES - Our movers may assist with disconnecting and reconnecting standard household appliances when possible. However, Osmon Moving & Storage does not provide plumbing, electrical, or gas line services. Customers are solely responsible for checking all appliance connections, water lines, drainage lines, gas connections, and shut-off valves after the move. Osmon Moving & Storage is not responsible for leaks, flooding, water damage, gas leaks, improper reconnections, or internal appliance malfunctions where no visible external damage occurred during transportation.
PACKING SERVICES AND MATERIALS - Professional packing services are available upon request. Complimentary plastic wrap and tape are included during most moves. Additional packing materials such as moving boxes, bubble wrap, packing paper, mattress bags, and specialty containers are available for additional cost.
PARKING RESPONSIBILITIES - Customers are responsible for arranging legal and accessible parking for moving trucks when required. Any parking citations, towing fees, permits, restricted access fees, or fines resulting from unavailable parking or customer failure to arrange access may be charged to the customer.
PROPERTY PROTECTION AND ACCESS LIMITATIONS - Large furniture, oversized items, safes, appliances, and heavy pieces may be difficult to maneuver through narrow hallways, staircases, elevators, gates, or tight spaces. If customers instruct movers to proceed despite limited clearance or risk of contact, Osmon Moving & Storage shall not be responsible for resulting damage to walls, floors, railings, door frames, ceilings, or furniture.
PLANT TRANSPORTATION - We handle plants carefully whenever possible; however, due to their fragile nature, plants are transported at the customer’s risk. Larger plants in oversized pots may also require additional heavy item handling charges.
ADDITIONAL CHARGES - Additional fees may apply for specialty services or uncommon moving conditions, including but not limited to packing materials, pianos, safes, oversized furniture, long carries, stairs, shuttle service, temporary storage, hoisting, tolls, waiting time, or other special handling situations.
WALL-MOUNTED ITEMS - Our movers may assist with removing mounted televisions, mirrors, artwork, or wall fixtures when possible. However, Osmon Moving & Storage does not provide wall installation, mounting, or reinstallation services at the destination location. Customers should hire a qualified installer or handyman for reinstallation work.
FLAT SCREEN TELEVISIONS - Flat screen televisions must be tested before and after the move, when possible, to establish their working condition. This helps confirm whether the TV was operating properly before transportation and whether any issue occurred during the move. Because televisions may have pre-existing internal damage, screen defects, loose components, or electronic issues that are not visible from the outside, Osmon Moving & Storage cannot accept responsibility for TV damage or malfunction unless working condition was verified before and after the move and visible moving-related damage is documented.
BHGS INFORMATION - By choosing Osmon Moving & Storage, customers agree to review the Important Information for Persons Moving Household Goods provided under BHGS moving regulations. This document explains important consumer rights, moving requirements, and what customers should expect during the household goods moving process.
