About Our Company's Founder, Janysh Osmon
I was born and raised in Kyrgyzstan (Central Asia) and immigrated to the US in 2005 at the age of 20 with no money and speaking very little English.
While attending California State University, I started the business as Osmon Moving & Storage in 2011 with my uncle and one truck. What was supposed to be a summer side job quickly turned into a profitable and fascinating company.
Through hands-on experience as a mover and a driver, I learned the industry's ins and outs. Within six months, we ran four truck operations and quickly became one of the fastest-growing local moving companies in the Greater Los Angeles area.
This was done with minimal marketing — just through word-of-mouth and great online reviews that came with stellar service and attention to detail.
In 2013, we moved into our first warehouse building and started offering storage services. My uncle still works alongside me and oversees warehouse operations.
In 2022, we rebranded as Osmon Moving & Storage. We are excited to continue our commitment to making moving simpler and showcasing the Osmon "Wow" difference for all of our customers.
