Insurance Policy
Please review Osmon Moving & Storage valuation coverage, liability limitations, and insurance-related policies before scheduling your move.
At Osmon Moving & Storage, we take pride in operating with professionalism, accountability, and extensive moving experience. Our goal is to transport your belongings safely and efficiently while minimizing the risk of damage during handling and transportation. Although our crews exercise care throughout the moving process, accidents and unforeseen incidents may occasionally occur.
As a licensed moving company, Osmon Moving & Storage provides complimentary cargo protection as required under applicable BHGS moving regulations. Basic valuation coverage is limited to sixty cents ($0.60) per pound per damaged article unless additional third-party moving insurance or valuation protection is arranged separately by the customer.
Customers seeking broader protection are encouraged to obtain supplemental moving insurance through a third-party insurance provider. Additional insurance may be especially important for high-value furniture, electronics, artwork, antiques, collectibles, designer items, or other irreplaceable belongings.
Osmon Moving & Storage does not provide liability coverage for articles of extraordinary value, including but not limited to jewelry, watches, cash, collectibles, family heirlooms, passports, legal documents, cryptocurrency wallets, firearms, designer handbags, laptops, tablets, cell phones, iPads, iPhones, small electronics, or sentimental items. Customers are strongly encouraged to transport such items personally whenever possible.
For additional exclusions and operational limitations, please review our Terms & Conditions page.
FLAT SCREEN TV POLICY - Flat screen televisions must be accessible for testing before movers begin wrapping, handling, or loading the television. Customers are required to demonstrate that the television is in working condition prior to transportation whenever possible. In addition, televisions should be tested again after delivery to help establish whether any issue occurred during transportation. Because televisions may contain pre-existing internal defects, hidden screen damage, loose components, or electronic malfunctions that are not externally visible, Osmon Moving & Storage cannot assume liability unless working condition was verified before and after the move and visible transportation-related damage is documented.
If damage caused by mover negligence is observed during the move, customers should report the issue immediately to the crew leader or office staff. Prompt reporting allows our management team to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and evaluate possible resolution options.
Following review of the claim and surrounding conditions, Osmon Moving & Storage may, at its discretion, offer repair, replacement, reimbursement, or valuation-based compensation depending on the nature of the damage, applicable valuation coverage, supporting documentation, and operational findings.
Please note that many luxury apartment buildings, commercial offices, HOAs, and high-rise properties require a Certificate of Insurance (COI) before move-in or move-out access is approved. Because COIs require coordination with our insurance provider, customers must provide building insurance requirements several business days before the move date whenever possible.
Certificate of Insurance processing fees may apply depending on building requirements, additional insured requests, coverage modifications, or expedited processing timelines.
At Osmon Moving & Storage, we value transparency, professionalism, and customer satisfaction. We remain committed to addressing legitimate concerns responsibly while continuing to provide organized, careful, and dependable moving services throughout Los Angeles County and Orange County.
